Who We Are
The Milwaukee Universal Life Church is founded on two tenants. We believe that everyone has the absolute right to freedom of religion and to do that which is right. We will not stand between you and your God. We recognize that each person must choose his or her own path. Our role is to guide you on the path you've choses.
Our ministry attempts to reach out to racial and ethnic minorities, the differently abled, those in prison, young people, the aging, the poor, those who are ill and many others who are perceived to be "different" from the majority. We are a church for all people, welcoming all, excluding none--just as God does.

Ecumenical and Non-Denominational
MULC is an "ecumenical church," by which they mean that we draw people from many different religious backgrounds. Yet people are united by a very basic Statement of Faith (see below) and a shared history of exclusion experienced in other churches.
A Statement of Faith
The Statement of Faith forms the foundation of our theology. It affirms religion as "the revelation of God in one's self." We were founded in the interest of offering a church home to all who confess and believe," and that "our faith is based upon the principles we set for ourselves."
We are saved from loneliness, despair and degradation through God's gift of grace. Such grace is not earned, but is a pure gift from a God of pure love. We further commend the community of the faithful to a life of prayer; to seek genuine forgiveness for unkind, thoughtless and unloving acts; and to a committed life of service."
You Are A Minister
MULF believe that everyone is a "minister." Some of our people are called to the professional ministry as clergy, but most are lay ministers. We believe in the priesthood of all believers, and that with ministry comes spiritual gifts, in various forms, of which every human has at least one, and a call from God to serve God and humanity.
